Jeremiah Harmsen leads a team of curiosity driven researchers covering topics including: computer vision, neural radiance fields, ML systems, weather prediction... and more! The team includes research scientists and engineers across Zurich, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Jeremiah joined Google in 2005 and Research & Machine Intelligence in 2011. He has founded efforts such as TensorFlow Hub and TensorFlow Serving. Additionally, he has created educational efforts like the Machine Learning Ninja rotation which is used inside of Google to help grow the next generation of machine learning talent. He is a lead in Brain Research which aims to make fundamental contributions to machine learning through curiosity driven exploration. He is part of teams which span Europe and discover the future of topics from computer vision to weather prediction. Jeremiah received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering (2001), a M.S. degree in electrical engineering (2003), a M.S. degree in mathematics (2005) and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering (2005) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. Jeremiah enjoys volleyball and lives with his wife, son and daughter in Zurich, Switzerland.
