Wanderable is a curated travel marketplace, with the anchor product as a honeymoon registry. In addition to engineering and handling operations, also recruited, hired, and managed 6 engineers. Built registry product which allows layout and item customization, and handles order fulfillment. Built iOS app that allows users to add items to their registry, receive gift updates, and send thank-you notes via email, Facebook, and ordering postcards. Built payments system that handles payouts through direct deposit, mailed check, and virtual credit cards; all integrated with PCI-1 compliant services. Delivered merchant portal and tools for automating the business sales and onboarding processes. Platform integrates product listings and fund transfers with merchants ranging from individual tourism activity businesses to large travel agencies and small boutique hotels to Priceline.
Mechanical Turk is a crowd-sourced work distribution platform, where Requesters submit tasks for Workers to complete. In addition to delivering engineering projects, also handled operational support, led scrums as Scrum Master, served as Release Coordinator, conducted hiring interviews, and mentored new hires. Distributed Peer Node Architecture: Horizontally scales as customer load grows. - Ported over several API operations into new framework. - Led the performance testing of the new system. Built perf environment, ran load tests, analyzed profiling data, and fixed bottlenecks. Maintained <2 second TP99.9 for main API operations. - Led the migration from v1 to v2 distributed backend. Implemented and performed zero downtime migration of customers. Delivered various product features: Fraud detection Worker audit system, Tax reporting, Rupees Disbursement, and Requester UI.
