Jens Paul has been working with IT technology since they invented the IBM PC in 1981. Being only little older than 4 years at this point in time did not prevent him from starting to use and understand this machine. After graduating from school (Leibniz Gymnasium, Pirmasens, Germany) in 1996/1997 he did his 13-month millitary service at FschJgBtl 263 (that's a german paratrooper unit) before he started his studies After successfully passing his final examinations in 1999 at the chamber of commerce, he enhanced his knowledge by some business and management studies. While doing this he already worked (since 1997) at a small IT company founded by his father. After successfully building up the new network and groupware departmants, he was promoted to managing partner of Paul-Datenverarbeitung GmbH in 2001. Specializing more and more on the areas of ISO27001, IT-security and data protection, he resigned from his administrative tasks in Paul-Datenverarbeitung GmbH but stayed there as an strategic consultant and founded the consulting company Nemesis Consulting GmbH in 2008. Beside his job as managing partner of Nemesis Consulting GmbH he is vice president of the examiner committee for the Chamber of Commerce for the final examinations of IT students. In addition he is president of the local SchuleWirtschaft chapter for business - education partnerships and founding member of the Berufsinfobörse Pirmasens. Jens speaks at a variety of conferences on IT-security and data protection subjects and is author of several IT related articles.
