Career Coaching: Coaching of Engineering and Architecture undergraduates and young alumni by understanding their career interest through career coaching sessions and personal profiling sessions, received a rating of 4.4 out of 5.0. Identify the talent needs of employers and developed strategies to source for suitable candidates through targeted recruitment events. Analysed and shared with employers the factors which matters to graduating students when applying for full time jobs, to facilitate the development of their graduate recruitment strategies. Shortlisting of candidates through resume screening of candidates before floating over to employers. Actively tracking of the employment status of the graduates together with a team of 2 members resulted in 90% of the graduates being employed within 3 months of graduation. Developed assessment centre workshop (with rubrics and different activities) and conducting workshops twice a year to prepare undergraduates for their assessment centre interviews with 2 team mates. Branding initiatives: Revamped and manage the weekly eNewsletter by streamlining upcoming career events and job opportunities, with more than 200% increase in engagement. Initiated and spearheaded the content crafting, and constant revamp and publication of the career guide book which is circulated amongst the current and potential undergraduates. Initiated the freshmore welcome session with 2 team mates which aims to inculcate the importance of early career planning and to familiarize the cohort with upcoming career events and CDC, with a successful turnout of 90% of the whole cohort.
Actively engaged and liaised with pharmaceutical MNCs and healthcare industries to obtain employment and internship opportunities for students and coordinate with employers to strategize and implement outreach initiatives for internships and graduate recruitment activities. Conducted resume screening and interviews before floating potential candidates to key account companies to fill full time positions and internship positions. Motivated and coached an average of 500 undergraduates, postgraduates and young alumni per year to explore careers that match their interest, values and skills, resume critique and mock interview sessions. Effectively conducted an average of 15 workshops per academic semester in areas such as career planning, resume and cover letters writing and interview skills, consistently the top 5 highest rating trainer. Co-organised an inaugural 21st century leadership forum, with panelist consisting of leaders from the public, education, corporate, entrepreneur sector, including Minister, Mr Lawrence Wong. Developed and conducted assessment centre to select students who possessed essential 21st century leadership competencies for the university wide signature leadership programme, NUSLead. Mentored 66 career guides (student volunteers across the various faculties) to formulate and drive career initiatives across the university.
