I joined Penn State as assistant professor of law, policy, and engineering in August 2021, and my title was updated in June 2023 when I joined the faculty of the department of anthropology as well.

My boutique law practice provides consulting, transaction, and limited litigation services. My areas of practice include real property (including residential and commercial landlord-tenant, homeowner associations, condominium associations, home improvement/construction, land use, and real estate), privacy, discrimination, health, genetics rights, contracts, and more. I am a member of the Centre County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
Assistant Professor in the Center for Translational Bioethics & Health Care Policy
I served as the 2014-2015 AAAS Congressional Fellow in Senator Edward J. Markey's office. There I managed the judiciary portfolio (which includes intellectual property, human rights, immigration, courts, law enforcement, civil liberties, nominations, trade, etc.) and assisted with privacy, health, consumer protection, and environmental policy. My fellowship was sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
