I work in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit with patients who present with a variety of Axis I and Axis II DSM diagnoses. I conduct biopsychosocial assessements, brief therapy, family therapy meetings, group therapy and conduct discharge planning. I work with a dynamic interdisciplinary treatment team which includes psychiatrists, social workers, mental health counselors, nurses, recreational therapists, and psychiatric techs.
Completed a Psychology Postdoctoral Residency in Health Psychology to fulfill partial requirements for licensure as a Psychologist. Worked within the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. Worked as a part of the Family Medicine Clinic and the Orofacial Pain Clinic.
Completed a 1-year APA accredited pre-doctoral internship in Psychology. Worked with veterans while completing rotations in: Inpatient Psychiatry/Pain Clinic/Neuropsychological Assessment/Nursing Home; 2) Mental Health Clinic; and 3) Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
