NMG Merchandise Operations • Assist in enhancing department vision and strategies to support Company goals • Manage numerous business processes across multiple divisions and business units • Review operating practices and procedures, determine whether improvements can be made and work to implement changes as appropriate • Stay current on industry practices and trends, including business processes, new technology and software, assessing and communicating their potential impact on the business • Apply project management principles and tools to ensure goals, timelines, and deliverables are met • Manage and communicate information about project status and changes in strategy, initiatives, standards, priorities and resource allocation
Hire, supervise, and develop an efficient and effective team that meets the needs of each functional/divisional area • Develop, evolve, train and execute existing business processes to support the department • Maintain a strong understanding of available tools and ensure effective approaches are applied to tasks and initiatives • Ensure alignment on priorities and provide direction with internal & external business partners • Provide an enterprise perspective when identifying opportunities that will improve MI processes and procedures • Take ownership of high impact issues by escalating, managing and communicating appropriately and mitigating future risk • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business team leaders and system users and seize opportunities for collaboration and streamlining • Participate in meetings: preparing and presenting as applicable • Provide subject matter expertise for specific divisions and/or business areas • Develop and apply process and project management knowledge and expertise
