I provided consultation, supervision, and training for AHS ASW clinicians, and saw clients through the Community Health Unit (CHU), a pro bono service for victims of anti-Asian community violence in the Bay Area. Until August 2021, I was a clinical manager and supervisor in the Specialty Mental Health division at AHS. I was also the co-Program Manager of our Child & Youth Services. I sat on the SAMHSA Advisory Board for the AHS Youth Program. We serve the severely mentally ill population in Alameda County, focusing our services on Asian immigrants and refugees. I provided supervision, consultation, and training for psychotherapy and psychological testing for our trainees and staff in our clinic.
I provided short and long-term individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults presenting with anxiety and mood disorders utilizing cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions. I also provided clinical service in the Trichotillomania and Tourette’s specialty program. As a senior psychologist, I taught weekly didactic seminars to trainees on case conceptualization, cognitive-behavioral skills, and cultural competency to deepen clinical acumen.
