Not being able to sport makes children vulnerable. This is because sport is not only healthy but has also a positive effect on the learning of social skills, structure and the additional care in education. We want to be recognized as the Sports Foundation dedicated to the youth. Sport means to learn to integrate and work together, learn to tolerate each other. Sport provides a special cohesion. The foundation is committed to a large group of children, who are not able to participate in sports activities due to the lack of financial resources from their parents. With a contribution from the Foundation we want to offer these kids a sport opportunity. We are the link between these families, sport and financial organizations, government, education and corporate business . We help all children from 6 – 18 years in Curaçao to get them out of their social isolation by letting them participate in activities under normal circumstances. The children come from families where few resources exist for something like joining a soccer team. Through the implementation of projects such as "Swimming Safe" and "Sport Experience" we give substance to our vision. Eventually, we hope to be able to grow and getting Curaçao in motion. The youth is our future!
I'm responsible for administering the total operation of the Sithoc Swim Team program. This includes: program planning and daily management, senior-level athlete development, oversight and development of assistant coaches, composition of daily, seasonal, and annual training programs, promotion of both competitive swimming and Sithoc Swim Team core values, and integration of team goals within the Sithoc Swim Team mission.
