Contract DevOps position for Platform Services and Cloud Infrastructure teams. Streamline processes such as Java patching and certificate generation using Ansible and Jenkins. Assist with maintenance procedures after hours. Assist with migrations of Web and Tomcat instances using Ansible. Update documentation for easier onboarding of future employees. Training on Team Migrations onto different process structures in AWS. Offer support to team members that are not experienced in AWS.
Writing Scripts in Ruby and Python as well as Chef Recipes in Ruby to streamline processes. Utilizing VIM, RubyMine, PYCharm, Idle and Atom for writing and testing. Also creating jobs in Jenkins to run the scripts and recipes created. Writing Scripts that utilize Boto3 and Argparse for easy access to AWS information. Utilizing and Creating jobs using Jenkins including executing Demo and QA deployments and Full-Stack deployments in production environments. Extensive command line use with CentOS. On-call Monitoring and Troubleshooting of Web Application Servers using pagerduty, AppDynamics, CloudWatch and Nodeping. Assisting with Dockerizing entire QA, Dev and Demo environments for Web Applications. This includes Writing Yaml files for Docker-Compose, Data Migration, Creation of EC2 Instances and ELBs for the Environments, Configuration and Troubleshooting via the command line. Training and Assisting in troubleshooting MySql Connectivity, Permission and Sync issues using Sequel Pro and MySql command line. Utilizing command line interface with Git commands to clone, pull, manipulate files as needed, add, commit and push changes into Bitbucket repositories. After-hours maintenance to AWS Cloud Infrastructure. Network troubleshooting via AWS Cloud Infrastructure (Security Groups, VPC, Subnets, etc) Creating and Updating pages in Confluence for future reference and training. Working on MacBook Pro to manage Linux environments from both work and home environments. Utilizing Cloud Formation Templates to create WAF environments and configure appliances and websites to Alert Logic
