I am a Director in the Planning and CPO team at Burges Salmon and have a broad range of experience in all aspects of planning and compulsory purchase law. I have advised on a number of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, including advice on EIA and habitats, marine licensing and compulsory acquisition under the DCO regime. I have assisted with the promotion and implementation of compulsory purchase orders for acquiring authorities, as well as advising objectors and dealing with complex compensation issues. I have negotiated numerous planning and highways agreements, particularly for mixed use and residential-led schemes, for both local authorities and developers. I have also advised developers, funders and corporates on renewable energy projects being bought, sold and refinanced across a wide range of technologies. Additionally, I have acted in relation to town and village green and common land issues, public open space, planning applications and appeals, public rights of way and listed buildings.
