With over two years of experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) and now a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Science, I have developed a strong foundation in supporting students’ learning. I am skilled in providing tailored academic assistance, managing classroom behaviour and delivering lessons.
I was part of a team responsible for safeguarding the elderly and residents living with a range of medical conditions. I was responsible for maintaining the wellbeing of residents by providing personal care, assisting with mealtimes and reporting any concerns. When required I would provide cover for the other departments; kitchen assistant, hostess, activities and housekeeping.
Covered this department while recruitment and holidays was being undertaken. Led the activities planned by the coordinator in small groups of residents.
Transferred to and from locations- adapting to the different store layout and role. Responsible for maintaining a department to standards set by the supervisor and managers. Processed sales and returns and exchanges in line with company policy. Acted as the backup weekend cash assistant.
Worked in the cash office, balancing yesterdays till floats and creating new ones, and balancing the safe. Handled large amounts of cash, creating lodgements. Answered incoming calls, answering queries or transferring the call where appropriate.
