As a freelance business consultant I started working for BMW Belux on their GDPR project. As a part of the project team managed by Elmos I am the connection between IT and the business and my task is the creation of Privacy Impact Assessments and describing the necessary modifications to ensure GDPR compliancy of the internally managed IT solutions as of the 25th of May.
As an international business consultant I worked on the Gaz de Bordeaux/Regaz project together with our partner Euriware. Assisting them on the documenting of the business requirements and writing functional designs. Gaz de Bordeaux is a french gas supplier, Regaz is it's main gridoperator. Afterwards I did an extensive analysis of the UK B2B supplier market for Electicity. Defining the blueprint processes to be added to our standard MECOMS offering. This analysis enabled me to work closely together with some of the senior Utilisoft consultants. The knowledge built up during my internal analysis work has been put to use when analysing the business processes at GDF Suez UK (International Power B2B) and converting them into future state business processes with in depth optimalisations leveraging the elaborate processes of the MECOMS software solution, mainly focussing onthe market interaction and billing related functionalities. After almost 2 years in the UK I worked a few months for a Danish project at OK Energy, assisting the local implementation partner in get the project outlines defined, after which I returned to the UK by working for the London based company Corona Energy, a B2B supplier. As this was an already ongoing live project the focus was on supporting the day-to-day business, designing and implementing process improvements and catering to the business needs for information and guidance. As of January 2016 my focus was changed back to the ‘local’ market with work for the internal support organisation (supporting the standard MECOMS product offering to internal and external partner projects), later followed by Application Maintenance Support for the Essent B2B team, mainly as testmanager. As of mid 2017 I started working on the EDF Luminus project, a project intended to port their current MECOMS system toward the new MIG6 standard set to be released in the belgian energy market in the near future.
As an implementation consultant I have been working on several energy and utilities related projects in the Dutch market. For Essent MDB (Meetdatabedrijf) I took part of the project phase as functional teamlead for the 'process cluster', analysing and documenting the 'new meter market' model and smart metering. After finishing the design fase for Essent MDB I returned to the projects I started my carreer at as a developer. For Delta (Local Gridoperator E/G), Tennet (Gridoperator E), Essent/Enexis (Gridoperator E) and Eneco/Stedin (Metering Responsible E/G) I was occupied with giving functional assistance in the maintainance and modification of their MECOMS Production environment. For the past year and a half I have been allocated to the Waternet project team, which assists the Amsterdam based water-cycle company Waternet with the maintainance and further integration of their MECOMS Ax Production Environment. At Waternet MECOMS is mainly used for Contract Management, Meterreading Management, Billing and Collection.
After succesfully graduating as a Bachelor in Applied IT, I started working for the Antwerp based company Ferranti, which is mainly active as a system developer for the energy and utilities market. As an Orcale developer I quickly gained insight in the many aspects of the Dutch energy market and the Ferranti MECOMS product. As a developer is was mostly active at two projects : - Eneco Metering Responsible, where MECOMS is mainly used for the registration and processing of metering data of their large business clients - Essent Network (Gridoperator), where MECOMS is mainly used the fullfill the tasks of Allocation, Reconcilliation and Messaging for the Electricity market.
