Lead multi-disciplinary teams across Epic application analysts, data scientists, full-stack developers, product managers, wearables and mobile engineers, and instructional designers, building and operating the technology platforms that power UC San Diego Health's digital health, population health, and enterprise AI operations. Digital Health. Build and operate the patient-facing technology platform supporting devices, mobile, and patient engagement across the enterprise, across web, mobile, and at-home channels. Platforms: Epic Cheers (CRM, campaigns, omnichannel, contact center), Epic Link, native mobile apps (MyUCSDHealth, MyPath, Willo), wayfinding, wearables and RPM (Care Companion), digital behavioral health, and FHIR interoperability. Population Health & Value Based Care. Build and operate the technology platform supporting longitudinal clinical operations across the care continuum, value-based care programs (CMS PCF, KCC, TEAMS, ACO REACH, MSSP), risk adjustment, ambulatory quality, and managed care (HMO/MA). Platforms: Healthy Planet, Tapestry, Cogito, complex care management, TOC/TCM, hospital-at-home, SDoH closed-loop referrals, provider finder, and referrals. AI & Automation. Lead enterprise applied AI strategy and delivery, with intelligent automation as the primary focus. Production capabilities embedded into clinical, revenue cycle, contact center, and administrative workflows, including agentic voice AI for inbound and outbound operations, multi-modal (visual, ambient, document, etc.). Develop agentic intelligent automation solutions on platforms including AWS, Notable, Epic Agent Factory, and Cowork.
Leads the development and execution of technology and business strategies establishing UC San Diego Health's Value Based Population Health, Health Plan, and CIN programs via the Quintuple Aim: the simultaneous improvement of patient health outcomes, patient experience, provider experience, health equity, and reduction of the cost of care. Directly responsible for operational and strategic analytics, health plan applications, clinical applications, revenue cycle applications, patient access applications, and digital health tools supporting UC San Diego Health and its CIN affiliate's risk-based population health businesses. The value based program encompasses public and private ACOs, CIN, shared risk HMO, full risk HMO, Medicare Advantage, and Managed Medicaid contracts in direct and MSO arrangements. Multi-disciplinary teams cover product management and technology development across all population health related technology domains: data architecture, ETL, reporting, data visualization (Tableau), predictive modeling, quality improvement, instructional design, application development, interfaces, mobile applications, digital health devices, web portals, etc. Responsible teams include Epic Healthy Planet, Tapestry, Cogito (Caboodle, Clarity, SlicerDicer), and Link teams with close development in Interfaces/CareEverywhere and MyChart. Sponsor and partner with UCSD Campus PhD Research Initiatives developing them into commercially viable products. Recent initiatives include developing an Applied Value Based Care Analytics Engine paired with a Data Governance and Source Code Control program.
Responsible for health system wide and value based care population health programs across analytics development, application product management, and business analysis domains. Dual focus across establishing a population health foundation (public quality reporting, registries, risk scoring/stratification) and value based programs (data aggregation, CIN/Affiliate connectivity, risk-based contracting and management, care management (disease management, social determinants of health, transitions of care, medication therapy management, etc.).

Develop pathways for commercialization, capital formation, and scale with early-stage and founder partnerships.
