Leads a team of over 40 software engineers in creating a Modeling and Simulation Test and Training framework on behalf of the United States Army Aviation and Missile Center (AVMC) and United States Space Force (USSF) Operational Test Training and Infrastructure (OTTI) Digital Test and Training Synthetic Environment (DT&T-SE). Oversees system development, integration, testing, and delivery to government customers leveraging the SAFE AGILE framework. Responsible for identifying, tailoring, and integrating technical capabilities and innovations to address customer needs, hot buttons, pain points, and requirements. Oversees program delivery, budgets of over $15 million, system resources, personnel actions, and customer and user engagement. Leverages domain expertise to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and leads the development of a complete and highest-rated technical solution. Coordinates with team member technical leadership and technical contributors on solution development, proposal writing, and estimating; and leads and contributes to the proposal as author and reviewer. Supports capture with customer meetings by presenting system capabilities, services, and solutions. Participates in developing solutions to unusually complex problems requiring a high degree of ingenuity and innovation. Collaborates with technical business units to craft unique solutions to customer challenges that may serve as a precedent for future customer capabilities.
Led the Directors Action Group for the Director Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP)/Space Warfighing Analysis Center (SWAC). Provides Subject Matter and Space Systems Engineering expertise in the preparation, review, and presentation of Secretary/General Officer/Flag Officer/Senior Executive presentations, briefings, documentation, and correspondence on behalf of the Director. Interacts daily with senior and action officer representatives from throughout the Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force, United States Space Force, subordinate commands and organizations, the Intelligence Community (IC), Congressional Members and their staffs, and other Departments of the Executive Branch. Supports Director engagements throughout the Department, IC, Executive and Legislative Branches. Supports the development, presentation, and staffing of the SWAC Space Force Designs and all associated products on behalf of the Chief of Space Operations and Secretary of the Air Force. Manages the internal and external task management process on behalf of both SSDP and the SWAC. Oversees the daily Executive support and daily business practices for both SSDP and SWAC. Oversees and coordinates the Directors engagements and interactions with industry partners and the press.
Provided technical advice to the SSDP/Space Domain Awareness Division, leveraging operational space (and other domain) Command and Control (C2) experience; identifies, analyzes and provides recommendations regarding potential improvements to space C2 operating concepts, capabilities, and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs); employs modeling and simulation tools, and analyzes their results, to provide recommendations on potential improvements to operational and candidate C2 and ancillary systems—to include web service tools; evaluates and guides development of planning and operations tools that help define what actions and decisions need to be made to successfully execute COAs—to include branches and sequels based on triggers; evaluates and guides development of real-time, user-defined operating picture capabilities; monitors and assesses lessons learned from wargames, exercises and space protection operational engagement to further inform C2 concepts, capabilities and TTP development; leverages, and assists with the synchronization of efforts of personnel in multiple organizations; presents SSDP leadership with viable options to integrate SSDP developed products into the operational community.
Commands the 647th Regional Support Group (RSG), US Army Reserve (USAR) and is responsible for leading and managing a diverse, multi-functional unit that provides base operations support (BOS), sustainment, and command and control (C2) functions for contingency operations, mobilization sites, and emergency response missions. Provides C2 of three USAR Engineer Battalions with broad mission sets including vertical and horizontal construction, Combat Engineering, firefighting, route clearance, and utility operations. Ensures the unit is prepared to deploy, establish, and maintain operational support for Army and joint forces in both CONUS (continental U.S.) and OCONUS (outside continental U.S.) environments. Provides overall leadership, guidance, and direction to all assigned personnel, ensuring the effective performance of all operational, administrative, and logistical functions of the RSG. Sets the vision, mission, and priorities for the RSG in alignment with higher headquarters directives and regional mission requirements. Maintains command readiness to mobilize and deploy the unit for contingency operations or emergency missions as needed. Oversees the planning and execution of base operations support services, including life support, facility management, security, and infrastructure for designated sites. Coordinates with installation leadership, tenant units, and civilian agencies to ensure seamless integration and delivery of support services. Directs and manages logistical support, including supply chain management, transportation, maintenance, and sustainment operations to ensure efficient and continuous support of deployed forces. Ensures the RSG can rapidly deploy to support theater operations, including managing pre-deployment training, equipment readiness, and sustainment planning. Leads the professional development and welfare of over 2000 RSG personnel.
Assistant Chief of Staff G2 for the 75th USARIC, 400+ Soldier multi-component Division consisting of AGR, AC, TPU Soldiers and DA Civilians. Primary staff officer with overall supervision and responsibility for all Intelligence and Security actions in the Command. Exercises staff supervision of the G2 section; coordinates all aspects of intelligence and security support to Division activities and operations. Oversees and implements Command Intelligence Programs and Policies. Leads the G2 staff directorate to provide intelligence and security support to the Command. The G-2 works closely with the G-3 to synchronize efforts and planning at division and higher echelons. The G-2 prepares Annex B (Intelligence) to Operations Orders and mission development. The G-2 oversees the development and implementation of Brigade-level S2 capabilities and functions.
