Assisted in the design, development, and future execution of the Presidio Tectonic New Madrid Seismic Zone Earthquake (NMSZ) wargame in March 2019. For the first time, the 8 Adjutants General, State Emergency Management leaders, State National Guard (NG) Dual Status Commanders, and other State NG leaders will meet with CNGB, and other senior leaders at the Federal-level to wargame the large-scale National Guard response to a NMSZ earthquake. A NMSZ earthquake will have catastrophic impacts across 8 states and the nation as a whole. Assisted in the continued refinement and staffing to include all members of the NMSZ Joint Planning Group (JPG) of the Tab to Appendix 1 to Annex C to the National Guard Bureau All Hazard Support Plan – NMSZ. Assisted in the design, development, and facilitated the first NMSZ Sustainment workshop in Jan 2019. This workshop brought together State Emergency management logistic planners, State NG logistic planners, J4 representatives from NGB J4 and USNORTHCOM J4 as well as Defense Logistics Agency to discuss the logistic challenges faced by State NG planners in preparing for a NMSZ catastrophic earthquake. Assisted in the development and execution of 3 briefings that were conducted for the first time at the March 2018 All Hazard Coordination Workshop (AHCW) in New Orleans. NGB as well as the effected State NG leaders presented the integrated NG response to a catastrophic events to other State NG leaders, as well as senior leaders from NGB, USNORTHCOM and FEMA. For the third year in a row, developed and facilitated the on-site NMSZ JPG during the March 2018 AHCW. Over 100 planners from State Emergency Management, State NG, NGB, ARNG, ANG, USNORTHCOM, and FEMA attended the JPG to integrate planning activities in preparation for next year’s NMSZ exercise.
For the current mission- Leads and supervises the operation of the Company Operations Center in accordance with command directives to support 24-hour observation and reporting of potential violations of the Treaty of Peace and arranged agreements between Egypt and Israel in support of USBATT, MFO 55; supervises the operations sergeants and section sergeants; assists and advises the commander on all Soldier related matters; coordinates administrative and logistical support; manages NCO development and the enlisted personnel management system
Coordinated between various State-level and Army and Air National Guard staff to develop updated Defense Support to Civil Authorities and All Hazard Concept plans. Prepared, coordinated, and processed through the NGB Joint Staff to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau various 4 star level reviews of national disaster response plans. Indentified the urgent requirement for legacy members of J5 to adopt and utilized the automated JASMS system to in order to improve staff actions and then implemented the solution which brought compliance from 20% to 100% within the section. Ensured the completion of over 160 joint staff actions requiring the various level required reviews of input gather from throughout all sections of the NGB Joint Staff, Army and Air National Guard, and Department of the Army. Facilitated the development of an improved and collaborative working environment between NGB J5 and its counterpart in USNORTHCOM by identifying solutions and building consensus to achieve success for the ultimate shareholder-the American citizen.
NCOIC of an Embedded Tactical Training Team tasked with training Afghan Border Police Units to effectively control border access into their country and improve relationships with effected civilian population. Served as senior mentor to Afghan Border Police personnel at all levels from Brigade down to Company to improve all levels of unit operations and facilitate effective logistical support to remote border outposts. Coordinated with U.S. Army Corp of Engineer assets to improve construction of two new police headquarters focusing on the critical need to improve overall force protection as well as harden entry control points. Participated in over 150 ground armored convoys and numerous dismounted patrols throughout the region
