Develop strategic and tactical plans for the efficient operations of the procurement/logistics department; plans, managers, and delivers full-spectrum procurement/logistical support for the contract; Oversees operations to ensure lowest cost consistent with quality reliability and ability to meet required schedules; analyzes trends, follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records; Manages the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements; monitors the building of relationships with strategic customers through procurement/logistics initiatives. Responsible for locating sources for supply and making comparative evaluations of quality and features; completes and tracks purchase requisitions and purchase orders; responsible for obtaining and documenting three price quotes for all purchases, ensuring the best value to the project; responsible for cradle-to-grave logistical and procurement functions; Ensures that all international shipments meet the required timelines; required to coordinate the clearing of equipment and material from customs and port/airport authorities and work with freight forwarders for safely delivering all materiel to staging areas; and, other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
