About

Current Final Year Medical Student at Queen's University, Belfast having previously studied an undergraduate degree in Law (LLB Single Honours) also at QUB and a General Master's in Law at Trinity College, Dublin (both achieved with 2.1 classification). Recently completed elective placements in Plastic Surgery and Ophthalmology. I have also enjoyed my Psychiatry placements as part of my medical degree. Participated in the QUB Career Insights Programme where I travelled to Boston and met various organisations, businesses and a Biotech company. I found this was also a cultural experience. Recently a Peershare Committee member where I lectured on psychiatry, supervised lecture series and organised mock OSCEs for fourth year students. Outside of medicine, I have a keen interest in pharmaceuticals having previously worked as a Dispensary Assistant in a Pharmacy. I also possess a passion for social action and work part-time at my local Mid-Ulster Child Contact Centre where I facilitate contact between parents and their children from whom they've become estranged. Extremely passionate about paediatrics, psychiatry and emergency medicine. Open to all work experience/ research opportunities and career opportunities in medicine which come my way!
