Manages employment activities of Industrial craft and professional positions. Works with key managers, employment staff and project managers to determine staffing needs. Continuously demonstrates ability to plan, implement and organize staffing and recruiting strategies to meet staffing needs. Ensures job sites adequately staffed with qualified employees at all times and employment policies, practices and programs adhere to federal, state and local employment laws.
Coordinate training needs and schedule appropriate training. Administer and communicate company benefits. Keep documentation on personnel information. Communicate information to employees which pertains to the company and/or employees. Coordinate recognition of employees. Support leadership in executing Priorities of Focus. Provide leadership in Organization Development. Coach, provide feedback and monitor employee performance for development of staff. Responsible for sourcing and hiring of talent necessary to execute strategies and grow our business. Provide HR counsel as needed. Work to simplify and standardize processes to provide quality, value, reliability and speed in HR function. Participate actively on the Management Support Team to establish business plan, implement tactics, monitor measurements, and achieve our Priorities of Focus. Manage the Safety and Health of Employees and lead the direction of continuous improvement with Environmental issues. Work to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, State and other regulatory agency requirements. Effectively manage Loss Prevention Programs to assure prevention of injuries, illnesses and property loss. Develop, implement and manage Environmental Programs. Assure proper management of medical and worker’s compensation related activities. Management of the safety program established for contractors visiting plant. Scheduling and conducting Monthly Safety Meetings with Safety Team. Provide direction in revision and update of Safety Programs. Provide annual required safety training to new hires, existing hourly employees and supervisors. Responsible for assuring plant safety inspection and audit activities.
