Led the development team for the 767-200C, the modified 767 airplane that was to be the platform for the KC767 tanker. At the time when the US Government delayed the program, the prototype aircraft was designed and approximately 90% complete, on time and on budget.

In response to customer needs for more affordability, led the team in strategic redirection of the 747 Program to focus on breakthrough improvement in operational excellence. Developed the longer range 747-400ER version of the airplane in parallel with significant reductions in unit cost.
