Responsible for corporate logistics finance, back stock planning/operations, logistics supply chain, and logistics reporting over five Distributon Centers and corportate logistics. Collaborate with internal I.S., as well as Wynright and Vocollect, to develop databases to implement a voice picking system and administer JDA. Evaluate potential new DC sites and measure the ROI of upgrading/combining facilities. Analyze warehouse back stock levels to determine appropriate weeks of supply are being held at DC. Convert suppliers to cross dock program to drive speed to market initiatives while reducing DC payroll. Work with engineering group to increase rack facings based on forecasted need (doubled SKUs held in one year). Developed various tools for planning departments to submit inventory plans for forecasting. Measure pick density by location to improve Put To Light system efficiency. Oversee team of one Manager, one Senior Financial Analyst, and three Analysts. Developed and implemented a back stock letdown process using Access to manage the process and feed the JDA system.
Responsible for enforcing the rules of DC Operations and merchant fill rate by administering deductions across 5 DC’s, 26 buying departments and 4 SVP’s to improve efficiency and speed to market while maintaining relations with all parties. Automated several key functions in the department using access databases and FTP transfers to increase my team’s efficiency. Implemented a Vendor Web Portal to handle all charge research and claims, as well as to host our Vendor Relations Guide which streamlined the process for over 800 vendors. Managed team of two corporate analysts and five DC employees. Convened regular meetings with merchants, suppliers, vendors and other retailers including competitors to help improve supply chain efficiency.
