Asked to join the Response cadre in the role of an External Support Branch Director. 2020 worked floods in Montgomery, AL and was promoted to Logistics Chief after 2 months finishing up my assignment in December of the same year. Oversaw all departments under logistics and coordinated with all disciplines involved with the recovery effort. Worked closely with senior leadership in establishing timelines and making recommendations regarding staffing, contracting, building and equipment requirements.
Oversee federal staging areas established in response to an emergency declaration. Liaise between all agencies involved as well provide assistance and guidance to employees staffing site. Inure the timely transfer of commodities and equipment requested in support of state, local and tribal communities. Coordinate and train all Incident Support Base personnel as well as interview and recommend placement of Supervisory staff over targeted area teams.

Oversaw and ensured that the primary logistics facility for the State of Florida was fully functional and operational for any and all events that required the State of Florida's assistance and support. Trained in emergency preparedness, response and recovery at both the state and federal levels, including support of the Florida Incident Management Team deployed to the facility upon activation. Successfully trained and completed several courses within the framework of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) specifically the Incident Command System (ICS) and supported the response and recovery efforts for significant events, including Florida’s Groundhog Day tornadoes, Tropical Storm Fay and several other severe weather events.
