I worked for 17 years as a Firefighter/EMT for various Departments and private agencies. I was a EMS Lieutenant for one agency, a Safety Officer for another agency, and a Operations Manager for another EMS agency. I decided to make a career change and begin my career in Law Enforcement. I began working for the UC Health Police/Public Safety Department in January of 2020, within my first 6 months I became an FTO (Field Training Officer) and approximately 8 months after that I was promoted to my current position as Sergeant. I also just recently took some instructor training courses through the Crisis Prevention Institute and am now a certified Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor.
