About

I started as a subway musician in New York City. In my free time I helped my friend with his "man with a van" moving business. Eventually he started sending me out with the van on my own, and after 6 years (with me as his foreman) he was a man with two vans, three trucks, and a thriving second-hand furniture shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I moved to Chicago to woo my lady love (successfully) and eventually ended up working at a contractor supply company doing shipping/receiving and eventually moved up to being the parts manager, kind of the service manager for small engine mechanics. "We" had a baby and moved closer to home. In KC I was a daytime dad and worked part time at Fed Ex until I hurt my back on the 3rd in a series of 5 backflips on my sister's trampoline. Unable to perform the specific motions necessary for Fed Ex, I got a job doing doorstep trash removal for multifamily communities. I became the district manager's yes guy. He could send me to a new complex and know that it would be taken care of. When the other district manager position opened up, he encouraged me to apply and vouched for me to the company. I got the job and suddenly was a manager. Again, looking to get closer to home we moved to our hometown, Topeka. I got a new job working as a Facility Solutions Manager, managing janitorial work in 90 to 100 buildings over the Topeka and Lawrence area. 5 years later I parted ways with City Wide and I am now the Custodial Supervisor for Topeka Public Schools!
