Prior to Timetonic, Jean-Michel was VP and GM Europe of Roamware, a global leader in enabling platforms and applications for international voice and data roaming services, powering some 480 Telecom operators in 150 countries, where he signed global agreements with the Orange Group, Vodafone and tens of operators in Europe. Jean-Michel was also the founder and CEO of Webraska, which went from 0 to 19 million euros in sales &17 telecom customers in 4 years, becoming the leading provider of LBS and mobile GPS navigation. Webraska was acquired by masternaut, Europe's leading Telematics provider with 10 000 enterprise customers and 200 000 vehicules in 32 countries. Prior to Webraska, Jean-Michel worked with Matra Communication (telecommunication), Nortel (telecommunication), Tektrend International (non destructive testing with customers such as Boeing for the NASA, Lockheed Martin and the Royal Canadian Navy), and Coreco (image recognition). Jean-Michel is the co-author of patent EP0974137 on interactive navigation (http://tinyurl.com/JMD-Ibdn), author of the 2002 industry setting "Three Laws of Location-based Services" (http://tinyurl.com/3lawsLBS), and has won several awards, including a European Best Entrepreneur Award, a WAP CEO Award, two Frost & Sullivan Awards, two Roamware MVP Awards, a Nortel Award of Merit, and a Matra Communication Award for Innovation.
