I am a Product Owner/Analyst for the CHU Sainte-Justine leading the development of the NIH supported Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Data Resource Portal (Cancer and Structural Birth Defects) and the INCLUDE (Down syndrome) Data Hub. A Bioinformatics Product Owner working at the intersection of scientific expertise and product development to drive the creation of data resource platforms and empower data-driven discoveries for precision medicine in the field of cancer, birth defects, and Down syndrome. I managed the product cycle and successful deployment of the following genomic, clinical, multi-omics, and biorepository data platforms: NIH-funded INCLUDE Data Hub and Kids First Data Resource Portal, UCSF internal genomics data platform, and the Centre Québécois de Données Génomique (CQDG) Data Portal. -Guided cross-functional teams leveraging subject matter expertise to translate complex technical requirements into user stories and actionable tasks that facilitated streamlined development and enhanced product functionality. - Worked with developers, data analysts, UX designers, and principal investigators to design data-driven resource platforms, considering usability, accessibility, and the unique needs of researchers in the bioinformatics field. - Assisted in defining acceptance criteria and performed meticulous product testing, ensuring that deliverables met high standards of quality, performance, and technical accuracy to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the data-driven platforms. - Acted as a bridge between development teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating strategic vision, product goals, and priorities to ensure alignment and successful product delivery. - Developed a clinical and genomics FHIR metadata model to facilitate data interoperability - Participated in the development of a hierarchical biospecimen data model facilitating visualization of a lineage of samples for access through a virtual biorepository. • Research and collect data through biomolecular science techniques, assays, procedures, and project specific methodology • Handle; biomolecular and genetics equipment for reagent sampling and transfers, DNA samples and reagent storage, centrifuges to isolate and separate genomic DNA, and growth chambers and incubators • Perform computer analysis of samples to draw data, including specific bioinformatic software applications for Sequence Editing (DNAStar) • Interpret, synthesize and analyze data • Organize and report on status and results of research activities • Perform other related duties as required
