My 40+ years of professional life is dedicated to the research of solutions to improve our environment and the quality of live for our societies. I started my career in 1980 in a period of rising environmental concerns about acid rain, dumping of industrial and municipal waste onshore and offshore, uncontrolled waste water spill, heavy metal and dioxine emissions. Starting in the ’80 in the engineering and construction of waste water treatment, solid waste incineration and safe disposal, flue gas cleaning within the companies CFE Contracting and Betech Engineering (now Seghers Keppels) in Belgium. Begin of this century I move to a Spain to launch engineering services for the production of biofuels. After a short stay within Fabricom I join Tractebel in 2006 to develop biomass to power, geothermal and concentrated solar power activities. My role of Innovation Ambassador to create an innovation culture within Tractebel (4000+ people) begins in 2016. Today I contribute to the consolidation of innovation within Tractebel to « engineer a zero carbon future », with a focus on innovation through digital applications, keeping the quality of live of our societies and protection of our environment central in my job.
