Directeur général chez le Signe, centre national du graphisme

About

EN After a dual degree program at the University of Paris 8 and the École nationale des arts décoratifs in Paris, his creative practice spans the fields of graphic design, interactive design, and contemporary art. Since 2018, Jean-Michel Geridan has been appointed Executive Director of le Signe, Centre national du graphisme, and the International Graphic Design Biennial. As an art director, he promotes critical thinking in design, exploring not only its economy and innovations, but also issues related to exhibition formats and audiences, as well as the relationships between art, philosophy, and aesthetics. Through the programming he develops at Le Signe, he actively works to counter the invisibilization of women graphic designers & minorities. Within cultural institutions, he is one of the few voices in France to denounce the abuses of the “skills-based sponsorship” tax scheme and its artistic and economic repercussions for art and design workers. He is also the publishing director of the magazine Le Signe Design. Source Wikipedia : https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Michel_G%C3%A9ridan
