C4 Ventures is an early-stage VC team founded by former operators (Apple, Microsoft, Orange, etc.) dedicated to supporting the most ambitious technology entrepreneurs across Europe, the United States, and Israel. Since our creation a little over ten years ago, we have backed 57 companies, 16 of which have become unicorns. Our second fund is currently following a particularly strong trajectory, with: - 4 unicorns created in less than five years after launch (DriveNets, PsiQuantum, Impulse Space and Neura Robotics) - Top-decile DPI & TVPI for its vintage (2020) - A high-quality deal flow, notably around current breakthroughs related to artificial intelligence, as illustrated by our last investments in Arago and Dastra. Building on this success, we have just announced the first closing of C4 Ventures III in November, with a target size of €100 million. It focuses on early-stage investments in AI and Deep Tech, with the ambition to strengthen Europe’s ability to create global leaders in these domains. Our investment strategy builds on the team’s operator and investor experience and is structured around three key themes consistent with our previous fund i.e. (i) Future of Compute (Quantum, Semiconductors, Cloud & Edge), (ii) Physical AI (Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Space, Defense Technologies) and (iii) Augmented Enterprise (Agentic Productivity, Industrial Software, Cybersecurity). We have already made two highly promising investments: Bedrock Robotics, a US-based company specializing in physical AI, led by a world-class team from Waymo, developing autonomous construction equipment; AMI Labs (Advanced Intelligence Machine), aiming to build the next generation of AI through “world models” capable of understanding, predicting and acting in the physical world. We have also launched our co-investment program, with a first club deal completed in Neura Robotics, and additional opportunities currently under review in DriveNets, Impulse Space and Alice & Bob.
