Main responsibility: coordinating cooperation of the Statistics Department of the IMF with the Arab Monetary Fund (http://www.amf.org.ae), under the Arabstat Initiative, and the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (“GCC Stat”, http://gccstat.org), in the area of macroeconomic statistics.
Providing and coordinating technical assistance in the area of macro-economic statistics to METAC Member Countries (Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Syria, West Bank and Gaza, Yemen).
