I am implementing a profiling lipidomics approach. The developed strategies, target and untarget, are applied to translational studies in collaboration with different research groups within departments of pharmacology, obesity and nutrition.
In collaboration with Vifor AG: - Develop an analytical method based on mass spectrometry to characterize the distribution of the chain lengths of low molecular dextrans and their chemically modified derivatives. - MALDI-TOF-MS, ESI-MS and SEC-ESI-MS where tested.
- Co-responsible of a MS service - In collaboration with the University hospital of Zürich, development of a LC-MS/MS method using triple quadrupole MS to quantify the amount of cytosine and m-cytosine, in patients DNA, and determine the methylation grade of cytosine. - Development of MS method to detect non-covalent interactions between short double stranted DNA and small organic molecules (secondary plant metabolites). - Development of a LC-MS/MS method using high resolution Q-TOF MS to estimate DNA protection from UV irradiation using small organic molecules (secondary plant metabolites).
Internship in QC-LM laboratory: - Liquid chromatography methods development - Establishment of a nanodrop method for the production to estimate the purity of peptides
