UpOwa is the leader in Solar Home System (SHS) distribution and retail in Cameroon. My role was to conduct technical and market analysis on energy technologies for productive use and manage solar installation projects. I held a central position in coordinating commercial and technical teams, high management and local stakeholders to launch new activities. I notably contributed to starting upOwa's first small scale Commercial and Industrial projects and helped plan the first tailored solar installations.
"Development of a sustainable business model for health care electrification using off-grid solar-powered solutions" The goal of my work was to identify new solar systems adapted to medical use and select the most suited for rural health facilities. I conducted a case study on a retailer of solar products in Cameroon. I then used that experience to develop a Sustainable Business Model for solar systems distributors and installers. The Model accounts for both the profitability of the company and the needs and working conditions of rural health centres.
