My path to philanthropy was not planned. It was revealed. In 1999, after an unexpected career shift, I entered the world of entrepreneurship and technology, where I spent more than twenty years helping startups grow, scale and raise capital across international markets. I built companies, supported founders and learned how ideas become reality through execution. Everything changed in 2016. With just €500, I launched an initiative called "Charity Design" to fund guide dogs for visually impaired children. What began as a simple act of commitment became a movement: over €250K raised and more than twenty guide dogs offered to children whose lives were forever changed. That experience revealed something essential to me: when intention meets action, impact becomes possible. I realized that my true role was not only to build businesses, but to identify and support young minds with the power to change the world and give them the means to do it. From that conviction, the JDR Endowment Fund was born. Today, through its flagship Tomorrowland initiative, JDR// identifies, supports and connects young talents aged 7 to 17 who carry innovative ideas — ideas that help people, protect the planet, create something new or inspire others. Our mission is to turn them into an international generation of changemakers. Where kids become changemakers. Because sometimes, one idea from a young mind is enough to change the world.
