Systems Engineer at L3Harris. M.S. and B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, focused on autonomous flight, machine learning, and satellite control.
In my role as an Engineering Mentor at the L3Harris Student Design Center, I assisted students in navigating the design and manufacturing process, helping them identify the best tools and techniques to complete their projects efficiently. I helped guide them through the facility, ensuring they know how to find and use the appropriate equipment safely and effectively. My role involved providing hands-on instruction with advanced manufacturing machines, such as CO2 laser cutters, waterjets, and 3D printers, ensuring students achieve optimal results without risking damage to the equipment or injury to themselves.
• Performed flight tests, strain measurements, tensile tests, vibration analysis, and wind tunnel flow visualizations to support aerospace control experiments. • Taught control theory, fatigue analysis, and flight-testing methodologies to undergraduate students. • Provided feedback and assessment for the Control Systems course, improving student understanding.
During my summer internship with Structural Composites, my roles spanned across marine-grade product fabrication, project coordination, and strategic planning. This encompassed: Composite Fabrication: Proficiency in infusion and wet-bagging techniques using vinylester resin to produce composite parts. Detailed material comparisons provided insight into performance characteristics of these composite parts as well as a verification of the process used. Testing Coordination: Management of testing schedules ensured seamless client-lab collaboration. Rigorous adherence to ASTM testing standards and thorough spreadsheet updates maintained precision and client relations. Strategic Proposal: Contributions to a strategic proposal for market expansion were backed by in-depth research and alignment of capabilities. Worked closely with other interns to explore the Aerospace Composites field and future possibilities for the company. CAD and Modeling: Proficiency in SolidWorks yielded detailed CAD drawings and models, essential for effective communication with the client and project visualization. Testing Panel Preparation: Creating and segmenting testing panels guaranteed consistent outcomes for ASTM tests. Prototype Collaboration: Worked closely with Engineers and other interns to craft prototypes and theoretical concepts, paving the way for future projects. Engineer-Technician Collaboration: Facilitated seamless communication between engineers and technicians, enhancing manufacturing process alignment. Ensured integration of best practices for optimal outcomes.
Manager for two local pools with over 20 employees. Worked 40 hours a week with 10 am – 8 pm shifts. Created schedules, coordinated daily operations, and operated pump facilities and handled chemical balancing.
