About

For more than 30 years, I have believed that great storytelling can change how people see the world. As an award-winning documentary producer, director and media entrepreneur, I have spent my career telling stories at the intersection of science, innovation, history, culture and global affairs. My productions have featured some of the world's most cultural icons and respected thinkers, including William Shatner, Stephen Hawking, Chris Hadfield, Alex Trebek, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Whoopi Goldberg. My credits include the Exclusion: Beyond the Silence whose cinematography received a 2026 Canadian Screen Award; Balancing Act, The Truth is in the Stars, Game Changers, the award winning CTV W5 undercover documentary Inside Wuhan, Footsteps of Bethune, Mostly Sunny, Chaos on the Bridge and Death or Canada. My productions have premiered at TIFF and at film festivals in Canada and internationally, screened in Cineplex cinemas across Canada, broadcast internationally and reached audiences throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Today, my mission extends beyond making films. As Founder and President of Stageview.TV, I am building a Canadian-owned streaming platform dedicated to increasing the discoverability, accessibility and global reach of Canadian arts, culture and documentary storytelling. I believe Canada's creative sector requires not only exceptional content but also modern digital infrastructure that allows Canadian stories to compete and be discovered in an increasingly algorithm-driven global marketplace. Current productions include documentaries with astronaut and Canadian icon Chris Hadfield exploring Canadian innovation, a feature documentary with Paul Shaffer with Executive Producer David Letterman, and international projects on arts, music and culture and the people-to-people stories that pull us together in a rapidly changing world. International collaboration, a defining feature of my career, has involved Team Canada trade and creative missions to China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Ireland, the U.K. and other international markets, helping build partnerships beyond our borders.

  • Founder at StageviewTV
    Jun 2023 - Present · 3 yrs 2 mos

Stageview.TV is a new independent streaming platform dedicated to Canadian arts and culture. Our mission is to aggregate, produce and license the best in Canadian theatre, opera, ballet, visual art, classical music, arts documentaries as well as immersive and interactive productions As a result of the pandemic, arts organizations across Canada have become accustomed to capturing and sharing digital arts content. However distribution and discoverability are major issues and many arts groups lack the resources to continue with the investment required. Stageview will stimulate the creation of Canadian content and champion Canadian artists and creators. Canadian broadcasters provide limited support for arts programming and this has hurt Canadian artists, performers, and producers. Stageview represents a bold, new opportunity to launch a direct-to-consumer streaming solution to reach domestic, and potentially international arts audiences, and nurture and grow the Canadian arts sector. As a Canadian arts streaming platform, Stageview will introduce a new generation of media consumers to the performing arts, giving voice to Indigenous and marginalized creators and exploring new storytelling technologies including immersive and interactive content. Join us as we begin a new journey into Canadian arts and culture on Stageview.TV, Canada's digital platform for arts and culture.
