Monitored policy debates and legislative developments on rule of law- and fundamental rights-related issues across EU Member States. Undertook in-depth analysis of draft legislative proposals, drafted strategic summaries for internal use and prepared short reports for high-level meetings. Prepared briefings for Cabinet missions, conferences and high-level meetings and coordinated both internal, intra-service meetings and external meetings with third-party stakeholders (NGOs, business representatives...). Worked specifically on the Defence of Democracy package, providing in-depth analysis on concept notes and policy drafts in order to ensure proportionality, in collaboration with DG JUST.
Worked closely with the Ministry's Spokesperson to prepare press notes and organise press conferences. Conducted research on regional affairs, prepared material on Cyprus' diplomatic relations with strategic partners and undertook effective minute-taking in high-level meetings. Involved in the planning and coordination of events organised by the Ministry, including charity events, diplomatic meals and conferences.
