My work involves the active applied research and investigation of cutting edge XAI/ML technologies in academic and industrial applications to provide increasingly effective solutions to current industry problems surrounding interpretability and usability of new and existing methods to improve ML and cyber related systems. I work as a lecturer and researcher at UWE Bristol in Data Science, where I obtained my PhD in XAI for telecommunications security, and previously obtaining an MSc in cyber and BSc in CS. I also consult for ACE/ARN in an advisory role for government policy research. My research and consultancy work with Ribbon Communications ties closely to my academic research and utilises applied ML to new fields of research and development.
Worked to develop temporal based time series explanations to gap bridges in traditional explainability measures. Used PhD-concepts to help bridge research based ML/AI to big data applications.
Developed explainable ML models to reduce baseline RMSE of state of-the-art multivariate time series forecasting models for large scale datasets, leading to RMSE reduction against current SOTA models.
Working as a part time lecturer at Truro College. Currently teaching the FdSc Cybersecurity, FdSc Computer Technology, BSc Applied Computing Technologies.
Worked with a network administrator and full stack developers to learn the operations of a service based local software development company. Sysadmin experience and debugging experience, with version control software/ various operating systems was acquired in this time frame.
