I am an Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the University of Calgary with a focus on embedded systems, hardware design, and engineering at the chip level. I am currently doing a 16 month internship at AMD as a DFX Design Verification Intern, where I am working on building my experience in the test, debugging, and verification side of various silicon systems. My background includes STM32/FreeRTOS firmware, C/C++, various sensor interfaces, communication protocols, and hands on hardware projects through the University of Calgary Solar Car team. I am interested in working on the space where software meets hardware and understanding how systems at that level behave.
Developing firmware using STM32 IDE for boards that will be used in the upcoming Helios vehicle. Implementing FreeRTOS, a C to C++ wrapper, Git, and communication protocols such as I2C, UART, and SPI. Configuring these timing setups to program an accelerometer and a GPS module for optimal performance.
Collaborating on a project with Engenuics Technologies under the supervision of Garmin software engineers. Gaining hands on experience using different peripherals on a dot-matrix board including a display, buttons, buzzers, LED's and the ANT protocol.
