About

I am a seasoned telecommunications technician with over two and a half decades of hands-on experience at AT&T, specializing in both legacy copper infrastructure and modern fiber-optic networks. My career has been built in the field, solving real problems, restoring service, and keeping critical communication systems running in all conditions. My technical expertise spans GPON and XGS-PON fiber networks, including fiber fusion splicing, light-level analysis, and installation of fiber equipment. I routinely perform technical analysis using fiber light and test equipment to diagnose, isolate, and repair service-affecting issues. In parallel, I continue to work extensively with copper facilities, handling copper repair, maintenance, and splicing—skills that remain essential in many active networks today. I began my career in the early 2000s in line construction, where I worked on placing and maintaining aerial and underground infrastructure, including utility poles and video-ready access devices. This foundation gave me a deep understanding of outside plant construction, plant integrity, and the physical demands of building and maintaining a network from the ground up. From 2005 to 2009, I worked as a dedicated copper splicer, performing detailed splicing, troubleshooting, and restoration work across complex cable systems. Since 2009, I have remained in repair, adapting as the network evolved—bridging the gap between copper and fiber while maintaining service reliability for customers. What defines my work is not just technical skill, but accountability. I take pride in precision, safety, and doing the job the right way, even when conditions are difficult and timelines are demanding. After decades in the field, I bring both experience and perspective to every task, understanding how today’s decisions impact the long-term health of the network.
