As the Head of Finance, I oversee the financial operations and strategy of a company that is involved in multiple sectors and industries. With nearly 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, I have successfully led and implemented various initiatives to improve profitability, growth, and efficiency across the organization. I hold multiple cricket umpire certifications from ICC Academy, Marylebone Cricket Club, and Cricket South Africa, which reflect my passion and interest in the sport and its rules and regulations. Some of the key achievements and competencies that I bring to my current role include setting up finance and accounts operations from scratch, reviewing and enhancing financial procedures and internal controls, automating financial information systems, adhering to RERA guidelines for escrow accounts, directing the implementation of OracleR12 and other applications, monitoring cash flow and working capital management, and defining and achieving KPIs and metrics for the team. I also have knowledge in IFRS and have steered process improvement and reengineering projects that resulted in significant savings in man hours and cost.
