Mechatronics engineering student with internship work experience at Beaver Contromatic. I am proficient in assembling, testing valves and logistics. I also have part time work experience at Pizza Hut where I acquire skills like efficiency, teamwork and have a food safety and Hygiene certificate. I am interested in Automation and pneumatic as it focus on efficiency and productivity which is essential in the industry I also enjoy doing group projects similar to my Design and fabrication project in my course of study where I had to design a ball gripper to connect to a vehicle assembly as a team where it will become a Programmable AGV to do line tracking. I used applications such as Arduino, AutoCAD Inventor and MasterCAM. This gives me a sense of satisfaction when i see my project as an end product as its a direct image of how much effort i put in. During my internship at Beaver Contromatic Valtec (BCV) and Beaver Contromatic (BC), I gained significant hands-on experience in valve assembly and warehouse operations, providing me with practical skills and insights into the engineering industry. This summary encapsulates the primary skills I acquired, the challenges faced, and the overall learning experience. At BCV, I focused on assembling ball valves of various sizes, materials, seats, and seals to meet specific requirements. I became adept at handling key components such as ends, housing, bolts, nuts, seats, seals, stems, and stem seals. Material selection was critical, with ends and housing typically made from Stainless Steel (SS) or Carbon Steel (CS), and the ball inside the valve always made of SS. I learned to differentiate between seat and seal materials, primarily using R (glass-like material) and C (carbon material), with TFM, SFCC, and AF being less common. The hands-on experience of assembling ball valves and participating in warehouse operations was rewarding. Knowing that the products I worked on would be used by customers gave me a sense of accomplishment. The guidance from my supervisors and the collaborative work environment made the learning process enjoyable and effective. The internship allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge from my studies, particularly in pneumatics and automation, to practical tasks involving actuation valves, reinforcing my understanding of engineering principles in real-world scenarios. Emphasizing safety, especially in packing and handling heavy valves, was a crucial aspect of my training. In conclusion, my internship at Beaver Contromatic and BCV was a highly enriching experience.
