Consolidated information for some of the newly proposed and to update existing trails in Fort Canning Park. Aided in the supervision and inspection of the horticultural estate in Fort Canning Park to ensure the upkeep of the park for park users. Took part in the updating of the Sembcorp Forest of Giants Trail in the Southern Ridges. The data was then used to plan the planting of a new batch of giant trees saplings. Aided the Southern Ridges team in the habitat re-enhancement project to improve the biodiversity in Kent Ridge Park, including conceptualizing the design of a butterfly patch with another intern for Kent Ridge Park and assisted the construction of a floating platform in Kent Ridge Park pond to attract herons as well as other biodiversity to the pond. Participated in the parks’ led outreach programmes and events (E.g. Rockestra’ 17, Car Free Sunday, Satay Night Live’ 17) in Fort Canning Park and the Civic District. Interacted with the public to share simple tips on how to grow their own herbs at home during some of these events.
Cooperated with other part-timers to maintain a clear and concise excel database of the club’s members to ensure efficient retrieval of data whenever required. Ensured timely processing of applicants’ membership and managing members’ enquiries regarding menbership applications
Overall coordinator for my vocation. Assisted my commander to streamline the communication between the naval squadrons and commercial operators. Managed the weekly operation timesheet to ensure smooth flow of operations amongst the squadrons daily. Took part in the Navy Open House 2013 where I aided my commander to plan and design the overall transport layout, reducing traffic congestion within the naval base throughout the 5 days event.
