I am a Computer Science student at Singapore Institute of Technology. In the final year of my diploma studies, I undertook a three month internship position at an Information Technology Company operating in Health and Public Service. I was pleased to be provided with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and technical skills i acquired in my studies to help solve real work problems that was raised. During the internship, I was part of the front end development team in maintaining and resolving any issues with regards to the system for our customers. I was responsible for problem identification, issue resolution, and acceptance testing. I was also tasked with other workloads which requires working with other project members, thus further developing my communication skills and time management. Following the end of internship, I had a final project which mainly focuses on developing an AI catered to a specific age group, which honed my skills in Machine Learning by having the chance to work with many models such as KNN and SVM to optimize it. Hence my current degree studies and prior experience in polytechnic has provided me with a proficiency in using C and Python programming languages especially for problem solving. I also hold software development skills though front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and is adept in using mySQL for database management to tie the system together. I have worked with Machine Learning algorithms and Lastly, having knowledge in cybersecurity reinforces my software development skills while taking measures against possible vulnerabilities in the system.
