Global Category Manager in Nestle's Head Office Corporate Procurement Team, responsible for all worldwide Data Networking, Web Hosting and Off-Shore Services Contracts. Core responsibilities are development of business-aligned global Category strategies, and then full lifecycle contract management - contract negotiation, supplier selection, contract authoring, development of governance processes, and day to day contractual/commercial relationships with suppliers. Role involves stakeholder management, key stakeholders being Business Leaders, Procurement Groups across the globe and head office operational teams. Also acts as Procurement Partner to three Business Streams within the IS/IT Function, managing day-to-day procurement needs and providing value-add inputs for these operational teams. Previously (2006-9), based in Chennai in India, managing global outsource contracts with Wipro, IBM and Tech Mahindra.
Worked in the Lagos-based business start-up team reporting to the CEO, responsible for building all IT infrastructure in the run-up to business launch in 2005. Set up all PC, Networks, Data Communications, Internet Services, Call-Centres and Phone Services in 6 locations in Nigeria, plus overseas stations in Ghana, Cameroon and South Africa. Managed outsource contracts with infrastructure services companies and network providers. Recruited local team to run operations beyond start-up.
Worked on the project planning for the introduction of the A380 airliner into Virgin Atlantic's fleet. Particular responsibility for the Electronic Flight-bag component, basically a paperless cockpit concept. Also assisted in the supplier selection process for an IT services outsource transaction.
