The STEM Consortium is a leadership group designed to provide guidance and assistance to the Director of the Center for STEM Education for Girls. This group is currently comprised of STEM leaders at K-12 girls' schools and coed schools, university-level STEM programs with strong female participation, STEM corporations with welcoming cultures for women, and other informal education groups who serve girls. The Center for STEM Education for Girls seeks to increase participation by girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math studies in high school and college and to encourage them to aspire to STEM careers.
In my role at Hockaday, I was responsible for the academic and logistical technology needs of over 1,500 users. Tasked with overseeing a staff of 16 comprised of academic technologists, technical support staff, A/V support, and librarians, I worked to meet the technology needs of our students, faculty, parents, and community. Founded in 1913, The Hockaday School is an independent college preparatory day and boarding school for girls, Prekindergarten through 12th Grade. Located on an expansive campus, Hockaday is in the residential area of north Dallas, Texas.
