I am a former global recruiting leader at noteworthy, hyper-growth companies like Starbucks and Google now turned recruiting software entrepreneur. Since leaving corporate America I founded RecruitingDash, a SaaS software company that enables companies to dramatically improve recruiting efficiency and effectiveness with technology that integrates with their existing applicant tracking / HR systems such as Taleo, Greenhouse, iCIMS and Workday. I have 20 years of corporate recruiting, talent management, and executive leadership experience at some of the world's fastest growing and most innovative companies. I have held senior leadership roles in both Talent Acquisition and also Learning, Training and People Development at Google, Starbucks, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Intellectual Ventures. At Google, I led one of the largest Recruiting and Learning and Development teams at the company, supporting the hyper-growth and people development needs of North America, Latin America and Asia for the Online Sales and Operations group. At Starbucks, I was the Director of North America Recruiting, responsible for all recruiting for all of North America during the greatest growth years at the company. I have been chronicled in the New York Times and featured in the National Best Selling book Mavericks at Work. I am a frequent keynote speaker at leading Human Resources and Recruiting Industry Conferences such as ER Expo, SHRM events and The Recruiting Conference. As a member of senior HR leadership team, I led talent acquisition efforts for all funds and functions at this $5.2B invention capital company founded by Nathan Myhrvold. • Implemented or retooled nearly all recruiting processes and systems (CRM, relocation program, established KPIs, refined selection and assessment toolset, interview training curriculum, improved search firm engagement protocols, employment brand, demand planning/forecasting, others) while optimizing cost model and reducing cycle time. • Partnered with President/COO and Founders to define selection criteria and execute executive searches.
Member of senior executive team, reporting to Sheryl Sandberg; Global Online Sales and Operations Group. Transitioned from recruiting to lead the Learning and Development organization for the Global Sales and Operations Group in Asia Pacific, Latin America and North America. Led global team of ~50 Learning & Development staff. • Scoped, designed, developed and delivered comprehensive Sales Training and organization change management deliverables at significant scale (5,500 trainees globally) to drive increased revenue, capture cross product sales opportunities, and improve customer satisfaction and retention. • Designed strategy and led execution of global external training certification program. Member of senior executive team reporting to Sheryl Sandberg; Global Online Sales and Operations Group. Led ~60 recruiting professionals to deliver talent to the primary revenue producing organization at Google. ($18B in revenue, ~5,000 people).
At Starbucks, I was responsible for all recruiting for all of North America during the highest growth years at the company and led a team as large as 80 recruiting professionals. • Incepted and drove “just in time” recruiting strategy and execution model enterprise wide resulting in 100% staffed levels across all exempt P&L positions; • Improved efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment team. Improved talent acquisition strategy enabled business expansion capabilities in FY05, resulting in 200 additional unit openings in FY06, or roughly ~$200M in additional revenue creation; ~$80M EBITDA. • Designed and implemented diversity recruiting strategy and tactics. Measured and improved diversity representation across client organizations by 42% year over year. • Implemented Applicant Tracking System (ATS), competency models integrated with selection and assessment and performance development systems, candidate facing CRM system technology and employment brand campaign and collateral.
