I am an undergraduate Biological Sciences student at the University of California, Irvine with a strong commitment to healthcare equity, community engagement, and patient-centered care. My experiences in research, mentorship, and leadership have shaped my interest in improving health outcomes for underserved communities. At UCI’s Maternal and Child Health Lab, I contribute to community-engaged research focused on women’s, maternal, and child health. My work includes running code to clean and structure research data, helping streamline the analysis process for interdisciplinary teams, while also supporting program evaluation. I am also a SAGE Scholar, where I continue to build skills in leadership, professional communication, networking, and graduate school preparation as part of a program supporting academically high-achieving, financially underserved students. In addition, I serve as a mentor with Bridging The Gap at UCI, supporting high school students from underrepresented backgrounds through academic guidance, advocacy, and access to resources. This role has reinforced the importance of representation, support, and opportunity in education and healthcare. I bring a strong academic foundation, a commitment to service, and a disciplined mindset shaped by long-distance running and marathon training. As an aspiring healthcare professional, I am seeking opportunities to continue growing through research, mentorship, and hands-on experience that advance healthcare access and equity.
