I'm a technology leader who believes joy and kinship are the crucible of innovation. I encourage my teams to be lean, carry a heavy bias to action, and care genuinely for each other. As an engineer, I am passionate about working in the mobile space, building elegant APIs and creating reactive distributed data systems. As a leader, I am a servant above all else. I endeavor to inspire, support, and catalyze spirited development and rapid professional growth. I believe we make things for people, with people, and that technology is more art than science. I believe, together, we can build anything.
I led a team that enabled operations infrastructure for automobile production via native mobile technology. I helped steed the engineering team away from a monolithic system towards a distributed, asynchronous architecture. I introduced Kafka streams as the principal mechanism for analytics and inter-system communication.
I oversaw 4 amazing teams in our fulfillment space. These groups created operational technology systems that support the Carvana supply chain engineering systems, mobile workforce, and external customers. My teams delivered software that supported and enable consumer scheduling, vehicle position tracking, asset protection, location mapping / geofencing, and last mile delivery. We ran lean, focused on what mattered, and worked for, not just with one another.
I led the Market Operations and Supply Chain Enablement engineering teams at Carvana. I also launched the product and engineering team that supports our rapidly accelerating wholesale business unit. I believe strongly that joyful people make great software. My teams focus on minimal process, incremental delivery, and genuine care for each other, and the people we build software for. Together, we can build anything.
We created a team focused on rapid delivery and the enablement of business initiatives from all corners of the Carvana universe. Our scheduling platform and mobile software empowered our markets across the company to do awesome things consistently, and in ways that scale with Carvana's hyper-growth. We remain dedicated to rapid iteration, active learning, and the belief that engineering is a people-centric enterprise that, when done right, can really improve the lives of the folks we serve.
At Shotzoom, our flagship product was Golfshot a golf GPS application with 1million+ active users and over 40,000 actively mapped golf courses around the world. During my tenure there, our team built a ton of cool products building on our core value proposition, including AR rangefinders, in-app tee time reservations, in-app official USGA Handicap Index, and a golf instructional video partnership with Revolution Golf. It was a small group with big vision, and a big heart.
At Abt associates I built a whole suite of products supporting large volume data collection initiatives and longitudinal studies for clients including the Center for Disease Control, the Department of Labor, and Taco Bell. In addition, I build a call center scheduling platform to facilitate the efficient scheduling of hundreds of call center employees in multiple locations across the country.
