JASON FRIEDHOFF is one of the leaders of Sidley Austin LLP’s real estate investment trust (REIT) practice, and he is the co-leader of the firm’s non-traded REIT (NTR) practice. He focuses on securities offerings (particularly initial public offerings (IPOs)), corporate matters, M&A and funds, with an emphasis on real estate-related transactions, primarily involving REITs and real estate joint ventures and funds. He regularly represents both issuers and underwriters of publicly and privately offered equity and debt securities. In addition, Jason works extensively with real estate funds and represented fund managers in fund formation. He also counsels public companies regarding general corporate and securities laws matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, corporate governance matters, filings under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and stock exchange matters. He has worked extensively with both equity and mortgage REITs as well as issuers in a range of other industries.
