About

I'm a hands-on design leader with over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of connected product design, creative technology, and interactive storytelling. I currently serve as Principal UX Designer at AWS. Throughout my career, I've collaborated with product and technology leaders and led design teams to envision, design, ship, maintain, and evolve mission-critical products, services, and experiences across a diverse array of sectors, platforms, and users for companies like Sony, Disney, Honda, AT&T, and Microsoft. In addition to my work as a designer, I've spoken, written, and taught widely on interaction design and interactive storytelling, investigating the ways in which connected technologies enable new modes of creative expression. Some of my particular areas of experience and expertise include: • Multi-platform product, UX, and interaction design • Design systems • Inclusive design and accessibility • Content design and strategy • Service design, experience blueprinting, and customer journey mapping • Brand strategy and governance • Data-informed design • Qualitative and quantitative user research • Design process development and governance • Design organization leadership, development, and team mentorship
